This mapping initiative was designed to support The World Bank Group’s Global Operations Support Team (GOST) in enhancing the quality of data within OpenStreetMap (OSM) across 21 Areas of Interest (AOIs) related to forced displacement issues, particularly focusing on refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Chad.

The primary focus of the project was to map and enhance existing OSM data on buildings and highways. Across the 21 identified camps, we successfully added and improved over 1,144 km of highways and more than 168,300 buildings."
