Our history

Mapping the World

Our history traces back to 2012 when Ian Ward and Ruben L. Mendoza began updating OpenStreetMap for Mapbox products. Subsequently, a group of mappers joined the journey, enhancing OpenStreetMap globally and striving to make Ayacucho, Peru, one of the best-mapped cities on OpenStreetMap. This endeavor marked the inception of a significant alliance and an adventure in the world of mapping. During this period, we expanded our mapping team significantly and gained substantial experience in mapping, utilizing geographic data, and processing geospatial information.
