One of the big projects related to navigation and guidance in which we participated was the turn lanes mapping in more than 30 cities in the US. Turn-lanes provide directional information to the ongoing vehicles and the lane information to be chosen for the vehicles changing their direction. So, turn lane information is crucial for providing great turn-by-turn guidance in navigation applications.

To streamline the mapping process and improve efficiency, we developed plugins like the Knife tool for splitting ways and the Turn lanes tagging plugin.

Using the Turn Lanes Tagging plugin to add turn lanes on bidirectional highways.

Our efforts resulted in the addition of 56,686 turn lanes in cities such as San Francisco, Washington DC, and Los Angeles, significantly enhancing navigation data in OpenStreetMap.

By collaborating with the community, we expanded turn lane coverage and contributed to improving navigation accuracy.
